Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily operations of metal railing and fence installation projects.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure project specifications are met.
- Supervise a team of installers and fabricators, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for fabrication and installation.
- Schedule and assign tasks to team members, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and adherence to project requirements.
- Manage inventory and order materials and supplies as needed for projects.
- Train and mentor new team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during fabrication or installation.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, materials used, and team hours worked.
- Collaborate with other trades and contractors on-site to coordinate work schedules and project timelines.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure all team members follow safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and address any concerns.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity on site.
Position Requirements - Willing to Travel
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Foreman.
- Proven track record in a supervisory or foreman role.
- In-depth knowledge of metalwork, including welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and regulations related to metalwork and construction.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools specific to metalwork.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Certification in welding or metal fabrication is a plus.
